Which programming language to study?

Are you trying to study programming? Do you want to go in the field of application development? You might be confused regarding selecting a programming language to study. It is a common question which is raised by a lot of students. If you are a beginner and trying to have a foundation in programming then normally you can start by learning Python, JavaScript or C/C++ programming.

It is often said that Python is one of the most easiest programming language to study and the lines of code is also small compared to other programming language. However, in most of the colleges C/C++ is the first programming language taught to provide programming foundation. Once you have a strong foundation of programming then it will not be hard to switch from one language to another. If you are planning to go for Java or C# then its better to start with C/C++ since JAVA and C# gets a lots of its syntax from C/C++. It will be easy for you to take your programming to the next level.

Without having a strong foundation in programming you cannot move ahead in application development. You can select a programming language for application development based on different things like its complexity, career prospects and its application area. Some of the programming language that is widely used in Nepal for web based application development is PHP, Java, C#. After finishing your foundation level programming concept you can select any  one of the application development platform based on your interest and its career scope.
